Beginner’s guide to skincare

We all are stuck in our homes these days due to Lockdown! Bored? Yes, everyone is. But if we look onto the positive side of this, it is actually a great opportunity for all of us to take care of ourselves, our body and our skin.

So, let’s start with our skincare!

Nowadays since we are not exposed to the pollution outside, all the dirt and harmful substances, the following remedies would work (for sure) to help your skin nourish.

1. Cleansing :-

Begin by cleaning your face in the morning either with a splash of water or you may use some facewashes suitable to your skin type.

  • Gel cleanser – Suitable for combination or oily skin!
  • Self foaming cleanser – Good for normal, combination or dry skin. ( people with dry skin should avoid using this type of cleansers.)
  • Exfoliating cleanser – Good for all types of skin except sensitive or dry skin.
  • Multi-task cleanser – Good for all types of skin.

2. Antioxidant serums :-

The benefit of using antioxidant serums on your face is that it neutralizes the damage from UV rays and environmental pollutants. 3. Moisturizing :-

Moisturizing your skin is one of the most important parts even if you have oily skin. Moisturizers keep your skin hydrated and the best time to apply the moisturizer is when your skin is slightly wet.

4. Sunscreen :-

On a normal day, when we would not be locked up in our homes, it is very important to apply a sunscreen on your face before stepping out. So when you go out to school, college or workplace, don’t forget to apply SPF on your face.

A Tip – Drink lots and lots of water. Trust me, water can do wonders to your skin. Make a habit of drinking 5-6 glasses a day and then slowly increase your capacity and make it 8-10 glasses a day.
